What’s something you believe everyone should know.
I think it’s very important to know what to do in a crisis. Learn how to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid. There are so many free courses online and YouTube videos.
I remember this one day when I was walking home from school with my little sister. As we approached our house a man was lying on the road. He didn’t look well,he was sweating, panting and very agitated . A few people were standing across the road watching . Normally I could have walked past but something in me prompted me to go and check on the man.
I was just a high school kid, I didn’t know much about diabetes or any first aid but I just assumed that his blood sugar levels had dropped. I quickly asked my little sister to go get a cup of juice (mazoe) and I stayed with him. I also tried to give him sweets. My sister came back with the juice,we sat him up and he gulped up the juice. Within a few minutes he started to get better. I was relieved and quickly left when the crowd started to get large. 11 years later I am a nurse 😊.
