1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
Everyone’s life is based on words that have been spoken upon their lives. In the beginning, was the word, God spoke everything into existence. God knew that it would also be through words that He would communicate with humanity. John 1:1 ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ‘
We see Abraham’s life-changing after Mezidek spoke into his life. Genesis 14:19 ‘And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: ‘ Abraham taught his lineage good speaking. In the same lineage, we see negative words impacting one’s life. Jacob spoke negative words about Reuben. Genesis 49:4 ‘Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; Because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; Then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. Jacob spoke death to Reuben’s future from his deathbed as a result his tribe was small.
Blessings and curses come from speaking. Learn to speak blessings upon your life and everything that concerns you. Your words are powerful.
